Puzzle Fun

The Simpsons! Yes, we watch. This was our little family project this week. It was just a fun thing to do together to relax. We wanted to make sure the pieces were all there after a spill. Turned out there were only two pieces of 1,000 missing. It was hard to do because you can't just look for a specific color like you might with a mountain or ocean scene, it's so colorful, we had to pick out the faces and go from there. It was funny to realize how well we know the characters. We'd recognize Apu's hair or the Monorail guy's suit. It was a fun project for us to do and as Christmas gets closer I need more and more reasons to procrastinate sending out my Christmas cards and wrapping presents.

Reluctant Ballerinas

I've been saying forever "Nah, we won't pay for dance lessons, I can teach them at home" Well, until now I never actually got around to it, so for a first try it went ok. Laurel did ok, I think they liked getting dressed up the most, but after that it was all downhill. Angelinne was crying the whole time and wanted me to hold her. Laurel and I warmed up and stretched and did some piles but that's about as far as we got! They sure looked cute in their ballerina outfits though!

Hello

Hi. I wanted to post something for Set in case he gets a chance to check this. Hi honey, i miss you. Wish you were here, but I hope you're having a good visit with your family. I love you!

Dancing Queen

Angelinne my dancing queen was caught on video this week. She's still a little camera shy. She gets facinated with things like the camera, the sink, the toilet, the phone, etc. So we try to keep control over those things. Her new word last week was "Panda" as a result of all the hype for KungFu Panda that just came out on DVD. I hope y'all enjoy this video, and yes, I would have liked to seen Set dancing too, but he wouldn't let me.

Halloween Fun

We enjoyed a wonderfully Happy Halloween this year. I'm sure it will be one we will remember always! We got to go Trick-or-treating at our favorite people's houses and had a little party at Mom's. Set took the girls around Mom's neighborhood and then Angie and I went to visit a few people we haven't seen in a long time. We had fun and it was fun to dress up. I went as Giselle from Enchanted, Set painted his face just for fun, Laurel was a Flower and Angie was a Teddy Bear. Aedan sneaks in almost all the pictures we take, so he's in this one with us as Spiderman! Boy were those kids happy to get some candy! I tried to sneak away Angie's candy and she would not have it! She wanted to hold a piece in each hand. But luckily her new word for this week in addition to last weeks "bad guys" is "thank you" so she was as charming as ever for all our friends and family who we visited last night.

Tour of the backyard by Ammon

This video is for Dad. Ammon wanted to record some of our playtime in the backyard on Sunday so this is the one I pick to post for you Dad. The weather has been nice all week so we've been enjoying playtime outside. The apples are red and ready to brought in, but we've been so busy with Halloween plans it's hard to get everything done!

Aaaahhhhhh.....

water is oh so refreshing! My little Angelinne is so precious! We get to hang out together while Laurel is at school and she hardly ever surprises me. But when she let me take her picture without insisting on holding the camera I was surprised. She still looks and acts so much like Laurel did at that age I feel like I know just what to expect.

Aedan

My nephew who sits still the longest, and still looks at me (or in this case Laurel) while I take a picture is Aedan. Thanks Laurel for taking this cute picture for me! Angelinne is in the background reaching something on the table there. The kids are getting so revved up for Halloween! We've been putting up decorations and preparing our costumes. It's fun to see then get so excited!

A Full House

We currently have 14 and a half people living at the house, yes, my sister Shana is pregnant, thus the half. But the cousins are having lots of fun playing together and all seems to be working out so far. I had a moment to catch some of the love on my little camera, thought I would share the love!

The highlight of my Summer was the Richard Marx concert I went to with my Sis. and my step-dad. I love Richard Marx and he gave a fantastic concert!

Things I Like To Do

It's so refreshing to finish something you've been meaning to get around to for a long time. Here are two projects I've been working on and now they are finished!

My heart stool...

And my waste paper basket...made of newspaper.

This is Laurel on the way out the door this morning. We're headed to drop her off for her first day of preschool. She was excited to wear her new clothes, we picked them out together. If I had let her pick them out they wouldn't have been the right size. Oh, and sorry mom, she loves the backpack you gave her, but we decided to use another because it was so big it was hanging down to her bum. Isn't she BEAUTIFUL!?!?!?!

Lauerl's first day of preschool was today. She's going to a preschool run by a sister in the ward who is wonderful. She'll be going 3 days a week in the afternoon. We went yesterday to the Open House they had, so she could meet her teacher and acclimate herself to the classroom. So we walked over together this morning, she had been asking if it was time to go all morning. I was so proud of Laurel, she went right in and I was left standing there anxious that she was going to come back out, but she didn't. Good thing I had the walk home to proccess it all. It wasn't the experience I was expecting. School is a whole new world for us!
