Rained-out Swimming Excursion

I love this photo of Aaron, he's such an entertainer...

We've been having thunderstorms like crazy lately so of course when we planned to go swimming the pool was locked up and it started pouring! Words can never express the dissapointment! So here are a few pictures. Though we didn't let it spoil our day, for the moment it was earth-shattering...

Jarod's Birthday Party

Jarod invited us to his birthday party at the family fun center last week. Set came with us for which I was very grateful because as much as I like to take the girls places it's getting harder for me to keep up with them and load/unload them from the car. And because he's so much better than me at the arcade games! The kids were all excited to collect all the tickets we won. Angie was carrying strings and strings of tickets, Set said his favorite part was watching her take the ticktes from the machine. I enjoyed trying to teach Aimee skee-ball and helping the kids decide which game to play. They also loved the ticket counting machines. Here's a picture of Laurel and Aimee in their matching shirts that Grandma got them. I wish I has a picture of the kids' faces as they were wandering around the arcade, we all had a great time! Yes, even Tama...

Party at the Farm

The library hosted a summer reading kick-off party that we went to last week, it was at a historical farm close to our house. There were lots of fun things for kids there and the girls enjoyed themselves so much that we skipped our other plans, but also luckily missed the rain by seconds. We chased the ducks and geese and someone gave us some bread to feed to the chickens. Laurel was feeding them and would laugh because the chickens were so anxious to get the bread that they would peck at it and it would come flying back to her. She was just trying to keep her fingers out of the way! Also there we saw mascotts and mimes, snakes and the Yo-yo man. I glad we didn't miss it, it was a fun event.
